Composition 05: Are prohibitions necessary? Why?

  A world without prohibitions and rules would be a complete disaster! They are totally necessary to keep control of the world. If everything were allowed, there would be much unfairness and a lot of lack of control. It could be very dangerous.

Without prohibitions, there would be no crimes either, so there would be no prisons. Imagine for a moment a world in which murder, robbery or rape were allowed. What a nightmare! All the people who had committed a crime would be free, living with us day by day. It doesn´t sound cool...

In addition, the number of criminals would increase a lot, since if there isn´t any
punishment, many people would steal and commit crimes. Also, other types of prohibitions are important, such as at school or in our own home with our parents.

I think that some rules should stay because they give us stability, which is very important. Not everything is allowed, and it´s good that if certain rules are broken, there will be punishments. But also, we must have freedom. Not everything can be prohibited.
